"Why is he always fighting kids?" - Ja Morant volleyball assault incident explored

Ja Morant remains away from the Memphis Grizzlies as the NBA continues their investigation of his controversial Instagram live video wherein he showed a gun. However, another disturbing report emerged that points to Morant having another incident during a volleyball game last year.

According to police reports obtained by TMZ Sports, Morant was investigated last September following a confrontation at a high school volleyball game. The Grizzlies superstar went to Houston High School in Germantown with his parents and associates.

They reportedly confronted and threatened a student who allegedly called Morant's sister, Teniya, a "b***h" during the game. Teniya allegedly responded using the same word.

Jamie Morant, Ja and Teniya's mother, tried to confront several students, but police intervened. One of Ja's friends allegedly knocked a phone out of a student's hand for trying to take a picture of the NBA superstar.

A witness even came forward saying that one of Morant's associates tried to pull a gun, but the police investigation didn't find anything. Jamie and the mother of the student involved with Teniya both wanted to press charges, but nothing was filed.

The incident is now the third one involving Ja and his associates last year. They have an on-going lawsuit after allegedly beating up a teenager at his Tennessee home. They were also involved in a confrontation with Memphis mall officials, with one of Ja's friends allegedly shoving a security guard.

Ja and his friends were also investigated by the NBA earlier this season after a confrontation with Indiana Pacers players after a game. This led to one of Ja's friends getting banned from the FedEx Forum.

Add the recent IG live video scandal and that's five incidents since last summer involving Ja Morant. He's now missed four games and will miss at least two more. Nevertheless, fans went in on Morant for allegedly getting involved with his sister's volleyball game.

The Memphis Grizzlies are trying to survive without Ja Morant for at least another two games. The Grizzlies are 2-2 since Morant took a leave from the team to help himself get better following his recent controversies.

Memphis lost to the LA Lakers and LA Clippers before bouncing back against the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks. They will face the Mavericks again on Monday followed by a showdown with the Miami Heat on Monday.

The Grizzlies are currently in third place in the Western Conference standings. They have a 3.5 game lead over the Phoenix Suns, but Morant's possible suspension lurks around the team. If the young guard misses more games, it's certainly going to have an effect on the Grizzlies.
