The Dallas Mavericks will be without their star player, Anthony Davis, for their Friday matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. Davis has been listed as out due to an adductor injury.
Davis had just come back on March 24 after missing 18 games with a left adductor strain.

The Mavericks are coming off an impressive performance in a victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Anthony Davis led the way with 34 points, 15 rebounds and two assists in a 120-118 victory. He also played well defensively as he tacked on one steal and five blocks in just 30 minutes of play.

The overall performance put Davis in limited company as he became just one of seven players to record 20 or more 30-10-5 games. The only other players to do it are Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson and Bob McAdoo.
Anthony Davis is averaging 25 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.1 blocks in 48 games this season. He is also shooting 52 percent from the field and 29.5 percent from the 3-point range.
However, the Mavericks will have to figure things out as they head to Los Angeles Friday night to face a Clippers team that has been red-hot over the last 10 games. The Clippers are 8-2 in the span and sit comfortably in the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 44-32 record.
Last time out, the Clippers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 114-98 for their second consecutive win. Kawhi Leonard finished with 28 points, three rebounds and three assists. Ivica Zubac total a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists and James Harden led the game with 10 assists, accompanied by 21 points.
The Mavericks are set to play back-to-back games against the Clippers on Friday and Saturday, which may prove to be important battles heading down the stretch of the regular season.
Anthony Davis and the Mavericks are ninth in the Western Conference standings
As it stands, Anthony Davis and the Dallas Mavericks sit ninth in the Western Conference standings with a record of 38-39, six games behind the Clippers.
The Mavericks are in prime position to play in the Play-In Tournament for a chance to make a run in the NBA playoffs. The Mavericks have four games left after Friday's matchup against the Clippers. Those will come against the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies.
The Sacramento Kings trail the Dallas Mavericks by just one game as they currently sit tenth in the Western Conference with a record of 37-40.
