Alabama Crimson Tide star Brandon Miller had an armed security guard by his side during an interview and practice. The school has provided him with added protection as he has reportedly received numerous threats via text.
Alabama head coach Nate Oates had this to say about the spectacle that has already sparked media attention:
"If you guys saw some of what I've seen sent his way, I think you would understand why that's the case. I don't want to get into all that. The entire situation, as you know, is just a heartbreaking situation on all accounts."

Brandon Miller's name came up when ex-Alabama player Darius Miles was charged with shooting Jamea Harris earlier this year. Miller has not been named as a suspect and has reportedly cooperated with the police investigation.
The star forward refused to give details about the armed security he was walking around with.
"I always travel with security to all the games. That's all I'm going to say on that."
