Draymond Green was called for a technical foul in the second quarter of the Golden State Warriors' matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday (Mar. 28). It was Green's 17th technical foul of the season, which means he will get suspended for one game if he gets called once more.

With less than four minutes left in the first half, Green was called for a foul on Brandon Ingram. The young Pelicans forward didn't appreciate it and got in Green's face. With the former Defensive Player of the Year pushing Ingram away, the referees called a double technical.

Green was bemused by the call, as he didn't want Ingram in his personal space. However, referees always assess technical fouls when a player shoves another player regardless of if it is to protect themselves.

After the technical fouls were called, the officials went on to review Draymond Green's initial personal foul on Brandon Ingram. The referees changed the call to Flagran Foul 1, which further baffled Green.

Another minor altercation was reviewed, but no further calls were made. The Golden State Warriors need the win over the New Orleans Pelicans for the potential tiebreaker. The Pelicans led 63-46 at half-time, but the Warriors recovered to win 120-109.

Nevertheless, fans on social media quickly trolled Green for another technical foul. He's not the most mellow guy, and technical fouls are a part of who he is as a player. One remarked:

"Why Draymond always wanna cause a scene?

Draymond Green is already thinking about the playoffs even though the Golden State Warriors could end up in the play-in tournament. Green wants to face the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the postseason.

On "The Draymond Green Show," Green explained that the Kings are a great team and doesn't think that they're an easy matchup. The four-time champ would like to face them in the first round, though, because of the smoother travel for the defending champions.

"The reason why I say Sac is simply just because of the travel," Green said. "That's a lot on your body, and we could bust right an hour and 10 minutes away, I just think that's much better for us. Now, Sac is playing well and a very good team. But just from the travel, at the end of the day, I don't really care who we play in the playoffs."

The Kings are third in the Western Conference, which means the Warriors will need to finish as the sixth seed. However, it's a tight race in the West, with the No. 4 Phoenix Suns just 3.5 games ahead of the No. 11 Dallas Mavericks.
