Dallas Mavericks star guard Klay Thompson is set to miss his fourth straight game. The Mavericks will play on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers without Thompson. According to ESPN's Tim MacMahon, Thompson is out with a plantar fascia.

Dallas has not released a timetable for Thompson's return. However, he showed positive signs during Friday's practice. The four-time champion did not practice with the team but did some shots. The veteran star has played 17 games in the 2024-25 season, averaging 13.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

Along with Thompson, forward Naji Marshall (illness) and Dereck Lively II (right knee hyperextension) are out. Kyrie Irving, who had a 30-point outing on Saturday against the Utah Jazz, is listed as questionable with right shoulder soreness.

All-Star Luka Doncic could return on Sunday following a five-game absence due to a right wrist sprain. The Slovenian star is listed as questionable for their game against Portland.
