As he continues leading the charge for the Dallas Mavericks, Kyrie Irving finds himself in a legal battle off the court. The All-Star guard is reportedly the target of a lawsuit for events that happened over the summer.
According to TMZ, Irving is being sued by the health and wellness company "Elite Mind Solutions" because he allegedly breached a contract by not paying the company for their services.
At the end of June, Irving reportedly held a family retreat for nearly 150 people. Elite Mind Solutions was hired to provide therapy sessions and exercises, which they reportedly fulfilled.
Per TMZ, the company claims Irving racked up a bill of over $390,000, which he never ended up paying. Now, the company has reportedly taken things to court in hopes of being paid for their services.

During his 13 years in the NBA, Irving has made over $311 million. This season alone, the Mavs are paying him $41 million.
On the court, Irving is still one of the top guards in the league. Through his first 19 games, he is averaging 24.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists on 50/46/87 shooting splits.
In the lawsuit, Elite Mind Solutions is seeking the money they're owed plus interest along with attorney fees.
Kyrie Irving allegedly failed to make amends prior to lawsuit being filed
Before the lawsuit was filed, the two sides reportedly tried to work things out before getting the courts involved. However, after allegedly minimal efforts to make amends from Irving, the company was left with no choice but to file a lawsuit.
Natasha McCartney is one of the main figures in this case, as she was the therapist who worked at Irving's family retreat. After the lawsuit was officially filed, her representation made a public statement and took a jab at the Mavericks star.
In the statement, her lawyer claims Irving did not deal with any of these matters personally. He passed them off to his manager and lawyer and did not to try make any sort of amends with McCartney since allegedly not paying her.
“After making direct contact with Kyrie Irving and his associates, Mr. Irving put it all off on his supporting cast,” attorney Michael Faragalla said. “He even failed to pick up the phone and call Natasha McCartney, so he didn’t make any effort to resolve [the situation] prior to the actual filing [of the lawsuit]. Of course, he had an attorney retained, and of course, his manager and his agent got involved and made several insulting offers, but Kyrie Irving himself never personally tried to make amends.”
As of this writing, Irving nor his representation has not made any statements regarding the lawsuit.
