LeBron James was sidelined for the LA Lakers' matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday due to an illness. The 20-time All-Star had already missed the team's practice session on Friday for the same reason. This marks LeBron's third missed game of the season, following a pair of absences earlier this month due to a left foot injury.

The four-time NBA champion was instrumental in the Lakers' thrilling 115-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day. LeBron delivered a standout performance, recording a double-double with 31 points, four rebounds, 10 assists two steals, and a block.

In LeBron James' absence due to illness, guard Gabe Vincent was elevated to the starting lineup, while Max Christie started at the small forward position.

Additionally, Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura, who were initially listed as questionable, were cleared to play before tip-off. Davis had skipped Friday's practice to recover from the ankle injury sustained against the Warriors, while Hachimura also missed practice due to illness.
