Prime Hydration's limited edition Kevin Durant bottle landed Logan Paul's company in hot water. According to reports, the bottle lists Durant's Olympic accomplishments, highlighting his three previous gold medals.

The US Olympic Committee reportedly filed a lawsuit against Prime for using trademarked phrases and symbols in their branding. According to the suit, the bottle uses terms like "Olympic" and "Team USA," both of which the committee believes are trademark violations.

According to the New York Times, the US Olympic Committee has an exclusive deal with Coca-Cola that allows the company to use Olympic trademarks. When Prime's trademark infringements came to light, they reportedly sent the company warnings against doing so earlier this month.

While Prime is no longer marketing their collaboration with Durant on social media, the limited edition Kevin Durant bottles are allegedly still available in select stores. Because of that, the US Olympic Committee sued Prime for "willful and blatant trademark infringement."

Dallas Express relayed the key language in the suit, which alleges that Prime's branding is deceptive and falsely leads consumers to believe the product is affiliated with the US Olympic Committee.

As a result, they are reportedly hoping to be awarded all of the profits Prime made from the drink, along with money to compensate for "harm to its sponsorship agreements."

So far, both Kevin Durant and Prime have remained tight-lipped on the situation.

Prime lawsuit isn't the only controversy surrounding Kevin Durant leading up to 2024 Paris Olympics

While the latest Prime lawsuit has continued to make headlines, there has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding Kevin Durant leading up to the 2024 Paris Olympics. After the former MVP and the Phoenix Suns were eliminated from the playoffs last season, Durant began preparing for the Olympics.

When Team USA's training camp tipped off, Durant was unable to fully participate, instead working out on his own with coaches and trainers, according to Steve Kerr. While he has since started to ramp up and participate in practice, Durant missed all five of Team USA's international friendlies.

The situation unfolded alongside Kawhi Leonard's withdrawal from Team USA, leading fans to believe that Durant was in danger of being replaced if he was injured. Despite that, and the fact that Durant hasn't participated in any warmup games leading up to the Olympics, he reportedly isn't on the hot seat.

On Monday, Steve Kerr gave an update on Durant's injury, saying he spoke with the NBA star. While Durant is reportedly feeling better, he is still day-to-day, according to Kerr.

"We're hoping he can put together a couple of practices in a row and a scrimmage and get through that well and then he'll be available for us. It's kind of day-to-day ... I was hoping he would get a game in [in London] but it just didn't work out."

As longtime NBA insider Brian Windhorst reported on Monday, Team USA is likely to play its first game of the Olympics without Kevin Durant given the injury.

Considering Durant is taking up a roster spot that many believe would have gone to reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, the move to keep him on the roster has been debated.
