Steph Curry will not suit up for the Golden State Warriors in Thursday's marquee matchup against the Houston Rockets. The two-time NBA MVP is listed out, citing bilateral knee injury management.
The Warriors are playing on two consecutive nights starting tomorrow, forcing Curry to take an off in the first game of this back-to-back set. The Warriors play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and Sunday in a two-game mini-series.
Curry's bilateral knee issue has bothered him since Nov. 17. However, he's only missed one game because of it. Thursday's contest will be his second absence, citing this ailment. The Warriors are on a five-game losing streak, dropping to 12-8 on the season.
Curry's absence seemingly hurts the Warriors' hopes of bouncing back, as they are also without Draymond Green (calf). The Rockets enter this contest on a 3-1 run and are in better form than their conference rivals.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr explains Steph Curry's knee injury
Steve Kerr explained Steph Curry's knee injury setback when he missed his first game because of the ailment on Nov. 27 against the OKC Thunder. Kerr revealed Curry had been 'banged up' the past week leading up to that matchup. However, the MRIs were negative.
Kerr said it would take some time for the tendinitis to clear for the 36-year-old. Before Tuesday's matchup against the Denver Nuggets, the Warriors coach revealed the team will manage Curry and Draymond Green's workload throughout the season.
Curry's knee issue seems like a workload-related injury, which will require him to take occasional rests like he's doing on Thursday against the Rockets. He's also playing 30.2 minutes per game this season, his lowest compared to his fully active seasons.
