Steph Curry will not suit up for the Golden State Warriors against the LA Clippers on Friday. Despite a 38-point blitz against the LA Lakers on Christmas Day, Curry is on the injury report. According to the Warriors' official update, the two-time MVP will not play, citing bilateral knee injury management.
The Warriors are playing on Saturday against the Phoenix Suns and prefer resting Curry against the Clippers. He has dealt with the knee issues since Nov. 18, when the Warriors last faced LA at the Intuit Dome in a 102-99 loss. Curry has missed four games before citing this issue, and Friday will be his fifth.
The Warriors are 4-1 in his absence this season. On paper, their record looks solid, but Golden State has struggled for a long time, winning only thrice in its last 14 outings.
Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Dennis Schroder will be responsible for delivering the goods in Steph Curry's absence.

Steph Curry returns to form, but Austin Reaves spoils the party in Christmas Day thriller
The Golden State Warriors probably suffered their most heartbreaking loss of the 2024-25 NBA season on Christmas Day. Steph Curry went on a personal 8-0 run in the clutch to tie the contest 113-113 with eight seconds left. Just when it seemed like the Warriors had swung the momentum entirely in their favor, Austin Reaves shocked the Chase Center with a game-winning layup with one second left.
After blowing by Andrew Wiggins on the perimeter, Reaves scooped the shot with his right despite Jonathan Kuminga lurking as the rotation man. Credit to Rui Hachimura, who sealed off Kuminga on that possession, keeping him from challenging Reaves at the rim.
The only silver lining from this game was Curry rediscovering his rhythm. He was single-handedly responsible for taking the game down to the wire after the Warriors trailed for most of the final three quarters.
After a rough stretch in December, Steph Curry broke out of his slump with eight 3s on the night, including two consecutive to tie the game against the Lakers. Before Wednesday's contest, he averaged 14.0 points across three games, shooting a measly 29.0%.
