It's been a banner year for Sabrina Ionescu who won a gold medal at the Summer Olympics followed by her first-ever WNBA title in the fall. Is there anything else that The Silencer can accomplish before 2024 ends? Like, say, a successful signature shoe?
As per the YouTube channel StrictlyBBall, Ionescu's Sabrina 2 has accounted for 5,725 minutes of NBA hardcourt action thus far. That's because this signature shoe has been in heavy rotation among players like Boston's Derrick White, Houston's Amen Thompson, and Minnesota's Jaden McDaniels.
Sabrina Ionescu: Keeping in pace with future Hall of Famers
Perhaps the most impressive feat pulled off by Ionescu's shoe line is outperforming the signature sneakers of two generational players.

According to StrictlyBBall, the Sabrina 2 has outpaced Kevin Durant's KD17, which has tallied 5,114 minutes. Players who are wearing Nike KDs this season include Chet Holmgren, Pascal Siakam, and Brandon Clarke.
What about The King and his Nike LeBrons? Apparently, Ionescu has those beat too. Nike LeBrons—which have been worn by Desmond Bane, Lauri Markkanen, and LeBron James' partner-in-crime Anthony Davis—have put up just 4,032 minutes thus far.
In the list compiled by the YouTube channel, Ionescu's shoe line also outperforms the latest Air Jordans (4,381 minutes), as well as the signature sneakers of James Harden (4,375 minutes), Devin Booker (3,983 minutes), and Giannis Antetokounmpo (2,928 minutes).
The only shoe line that the Sabrina 2 hasn't caught up with? That would be the Nike Kobes, which have logged an astounding 24,907 minutes. If you can claim to be second only to Kobe Bryant in any respectable statistic, you might have a good chance of ending up in the Hall of Fame yourself.
Coming up next: An All-Star tandem with Caitlin Clark?
As Ionescu recharges her batteries during the offseason, she might make a cameo appearance at the next NBA All-Star Weekend. She might not be coming alone, either.
The New York Liberty guard sent basketball fans' imagination into overdrive during a November 9 appearance on the "Big Ten Tailgate" show. During the broadcast, Ionescu was asked who she would like to team up with in a two-on-two contest for outside shooting supremacy. Ionescu had a ready answer.
"I mean, if I had to choose, I would take Caitlin Clark on my team."
A few days later, ESPN insider Shams Charania reported that Ionescu and Clark are in consideration for an All-Star shootout that could also involve Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
If that does happen, it could mean more eyeballs on the WNBA product—and, perhaps, more hoops fans taking interest in Ionescu's shoe line.
