This season is Lonzo Ball's comeback year after missing the last two campaigns due to a knee injury, surgery, and rehab. As expected, Ball is still slowly getting back to speed as he tries to regain his strength prior to the knee injury that sidelined him for a long period.
Things have started slow for Ball in his return and a Reddit user pointed out that he is struggling with his shot. In fact, they pointed out that he is shooting at a lower rate than when he entered the league. In his maiden NBA season, Ball shot 36.0%, including a 30.5% clip from downtown. This year, he is shooting 31.3% (28.3% from the 3-point line).
"For those who remember Lonzo's rookie year will always remember how poor of a shooter he was." The original post stated. "It seems like he might be somehow worse than when he acme into the league shooting wise."

This post garnered several reactions pointing out that this is expected considering how much time Lonzo Ball missed.
"Just let the dude play. He seems like a good dude who went through terrible injury luck. Why not let him coming back be a feel good story for a year before we start deciding whether or not he's going to be a solid player moving forward. At least give him a full year to see how he adjusts after all that time away." One fan wrote.
"I mean dude wasnt able to play basketball for years, wtf do you expect? He couldnt even jump for a big portion of that time," another person wrote.
"Before this season the last time Lonzo Ball played competitive basketball we were carrying vaccine cards. It's gonna take the whole season to ramp back up to anything resembling what he was," another fan pointed out.
Meanwhile, other fans trolled the original poster for his take regarding Lonzo Ball's shooting.
"The fact you're actually serious is crazy," one person wrote.
"Putting any sort of stock into his numbers this year is a silly game," another fan pointed out.
"This is generational hating," another person pointed out.
Ball has only played in 12 of the Chicago Bulls' 31 games this season. In those 12 games, he has only averaged 17.5 minutes per game.

Lonzo Ball is among the players who the Chicago Bulls are reportedly willing to trade
Things have not gone according to plan for the Chicago Bulls. When Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Lonzo Ball came to play together, there was an expectation that they would be contenders. However, injuries and other mishaps have derailed that.
Now, DeRozan is playing for the Sacramento Kings and the Bulls front office is reportedly willing to trade away their All-Stars. Both LaVine and Vucevic are on the trading block, according to reports.
Aside from them, Ball is also reportedly available for the right price, according to Jake Fischer in the Nov. 30 edition of the "Stein Line."
There haven't been any substantial reports on which teams are interested in acquiring Lonzo Ball. However, some fans have speculated that he could end up forming a duo with his brother LaMelo Ball, who is playing for the Charlotte Hornets.
