NBA fans trolled Phoenix Suns rookie Oso Ighodaro after seeing his jump shot during a shootaround ahead of their game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. Ighodaro practiced his 3-pointer from the left corner, and fans found his shooting form unusual compared to the others.

The Suns are in Dallas for their one-game road trip. This is the second matchup between Dallas and Phoenix. The two teams played on Oct. 26, and Phoenix secured the 114-102 win.

Suns reporter Duane Rankin filmed players doing warm-ups, including the team's other rookie, Ryan Dunn. However, his video on Ighodaro caught the attention of most fans.

Ighodaro's basketball shooting technique caused the video to go viral. Fans on X (formerly Twitter) trolled the forward for his odd shooting form.

"This looks like a worse version of Tyrese Haliburton’s shot," one fan compared Ighodaro's jump shot to the Indiana Pacers star.
"Shoots like a chemistry teacher visiting the hoop court at lunchtime," another fan said.
"This dude makes Shawn Marion look like Klay Thompson," a fan said.

Other fans suggest the rookie change the way he shoots.

"Oso man, love ya dude but you gotta fix that shot😂," one fan said.
"Yea they need to completely change his shot, start working on the new mechanics during the season and next offseason," another fan said.
"They gotta change that. Give him a chance to one day be able to be a shooting threat," a fan said.

Since the 2024-25 NBA season started, Ighodaro has appeared in four games. However, he hasn't spent more time on the floor, only averaging 7.5 minutes. The 6-foot-10 forward is averaging 1.0 points and 2.2 rebounds.

Bradley Beal will play against the Mavericks, Suns coach confirmed

There was uncertainty with the availability of Bradley Beal heading into Friday's game against the Mavs. Before the game, Beal was listed as probable due to a right elbow sprain.

However, the Suns won't have their defensive rookie, Ryan Dunn, on the floor. Coach Mike Budenholzer confirmed with the media that the 6-foot-8 forward will be out tonight due to an ankle sprain.

All-Star guard Devin Booker will also be active in tonight's bout. Booker was listed as questionable due to an illness. Suns reporter Duane Rankin confirmed that the shooting guard will play against the Mavs.

The last time the team played against the Mavericks, Luka Doncic erupted for 40 points on 48.0% shooting from the field. However, Phoenix prevailed behind Kevin Durant's 31 points, while Booker poured in 21 points on a lowly 33.3% shooting from the field.
