During a team photo of France's men's basketball, something didn't look right in the team's back row. Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-4 phenom, appeared to stand at the same height as fellow center Rudy Gobert, who measures 7-foot-1.

A shot from the rear shows the two French big men hilariously collaborating behind the scenes to make their heights appear equal.

Many fans saw the photo blooper as a chance to joke about the two lanky centers and their random decision to deceive fans in the photo.

"Crazy you can be insecure about height at 7’1," one fan said.
"Wemby the only player who can make a 7’1 guy look short," another fan said.

Several fans were confused by their idea.

"Lol. why?" said one fan.
"Gobert gotta be trolling," another fan said.

Some comments suggested that it was Gobert who likely came up with the idea for them to appear at equal heights

"Gobert really tried being 7'4," one fan said.
"Rudy is so insecure," another fan said.

Victor Wembanyama's international stats for France

Wembanyama was absent from France's exhibition game against Germany on Monday due to an illness. Without him, the team lost to Germany 70-65 after winning the previous matchup between the two 90-66, where Wembanyama scored 25 points.

Facing off against three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and his fiesty Serbia squad on July 12, France fell 79-67. Wembanyama did all he could in the game, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He was the only first-half starter to also start in the second half of the game, joining four bench players in the third quarter.

The strategy was mildly helpful, with France keeping the game close until the end of the fourth quarter before Serbia pulled away for the victory.

France will play their next exhibition match against Canada on July 19. Their first official Olympic match will take place on July 27 against Brazil.
