Acclaimed actress and longtime New York Knicks fan Edie Falco called out Philadelphia 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid for playing dirty against her hometown squad. According to the four-time Primetime Emmy Award winner, one of Embiid's hard fouls against Knicks star point guard Jalen Brunson left her fired up and ready to take action.
Embiid's physicality was a hot topic of discussion during New York and Philly's six-game 2024 first-round playoff series. The 2023 MVP was widely panned for taking several cheap shots at Knicks players, with some noting that it marked a trend throughout his career.

On Monday's episode of the "Roommates Show with Jalen Brunson & Josh Hart," Falco weighed in on Embiid's knack for committing controversial fouls. 'The Sopranos' star blasted Embiid's character, recounting her frustration watching him target Brunson.
"He's mean," Falco said. "He elbowed you in a game last year, and I was gonna go after him. I mean, that's how bad it was."
Falco later questioned how Brunson seemingly doesn't harbor resentment against the big man.
"And then, I think I've seen you guys play since then, and you guys are all cool with each other. I'm like, 'You don't hold a grudge?'" Falco said.
Jalen Brunson still respects Joel Embiid despite Edie Falco and Knicks fans' disdain for superstar center
While most of New York's fan base, including Edie Falco, openly loathes Joel Embiid, Jalen Brunson still respects his longtime acquaintance as a competitor.
"I've known Joel (since) before I even got in the league," Brunson said. "I met him a couple of times. It's just respect there. I think there's a certain line where there's respect and you're competing, and once it's all done, it's good."
Brunson later laughingly declined to name who he holds grudges against after his teammate and co-host, Josh Hart, prompted him to do so. Afterward, he reiterated that Embiid is someone he is "cool with."
