Michael Jordan's former teammate Ron Harper had a clear response to an NFL reporter criticizing the Dallas Mavericks over the Luka Doncic trade. It's been almost a week since the Mavs shipped him to Los Angeles in a deal that included Anthony Davis.

As soon as trade details saw the light, fans felt betrayed by the team's front office, especially General Manager Nico Harrison. The former Nike executive must be one of the least-loved people in the city at this moment and fans keep blasting him over that decision.

When Ed Werder reacted to a Rachel Nichols video explaining how angry the Mavericks fanbase was, 5x NBA champion Harper clapped back by saying they let owner Jerry Jones do whatever he wanted with the Dallas Cowboys, ruining the team's chances to win a Super Bowl for the past 30 years.

"They’ve destroyed the public trust and irreparably diminished interest in the franchise," Werder tweeted.

Truth be told, Jerry Jones has been blamed for the team's shortcomings ever since his fight with legendary coach Jimmy Johnson. Even though Dallas won a Super Bowl two seasons after Johnson left (after the 1995 season), the Cowboys haven't been as successful as they were in the 90s with Jones seemingly focusing on making money off the team over prioritizing the on-field success.

Year after year, Cowboys fans demand more from the team and the owner, but they seem to be only a regular-season product. Ron Harper is well aware of that and didn't hesitate to blame the media for not putting enough pressure on Jerry Jones.
