Golden State Warriors fans are dreaming of landing Cooper Flagg next season after he called Brandin Podziemski his favorite player to play with. Flagg and Podziemski played together recently in Las Vegas against Team USA as part of the Select Team.
In an interview during the 2024 ESPY Awards, Flagg was asked about his favorite teammate from the Select Team. The incoming Duke player Podziemski, was picked to the All-Rookie First Team last season while playing with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
"I'd probably say like Brandin Podziemski from the Warriors just cause he plays at such a good pace and just play the right way," Flagg said.

Flagg turned a lot of heads at the Team USA training camp and many were impressed with his maturity and skills at the age of 17. But Golden State Warriors fans are excited to know about his love for Brandin Podziesmki and some of them dream of welcoming him to the Bay Area next year.
"Cooper Flagg, you are a warrior," a fan claimed.
"Cooper a future warrior," another fan wrote.
"Bro paid off by Lacob," one fan commented.
The only problem with what some Golden State Warriors fans are dreaming is that Cooper Flagg will likely be the No. 1 overall pick next year. Flagg is expected to be one-and-done at Duke and would go on to play in the NBA. That means Golden State will need to tank for him and it's probably not happening with Steph Curry still on the roster.
"Damn he recognized MJ as GOAT and gave love to @brandinpodziem2 - Cooper lit!" another fan wrote.
"The Warriors team so bad bruh that if Curry gets a serious injury, they gonna be in the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes," one fan claimed.
"The feeling that I have of Warriors drafting Cooper Flagg is insane. Don't ask me how," a fan remarked.
Cooper Flagg receives rave reviews at Team USA training camp
At 17, Cooper Flagg was the youngest player at the USA Basketball training camp in Las Vegas over the past week. Flagg was named part of the Select Team that went up against Team USA in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Maine native impressed with his play during a scrimmage against the best talents in the NBA. He was hitting 3-point shots over Anthony Davis and was getting and-ones against Bam Adebayo in one of his viral highlight clips from practice.
"He kicked butt here. There's a respect factor for what he's done. People who have not seen him play, as he gets himself going within the game, they quickly see what he can do," Select Team and Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said. [H/T ESPN]
