Zach Edey and the Memphis Grizzlies squared off against their Western Conference rivals Dallas Mavericks at FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee, on Monday. The rookie was included in the Grizzlies' starting lineup alongside Jaylen Wells, Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar and Scotty Pippen Jr.
Edey had limited playing time as the Grizzlies secured a dominant 119-104 win over the Mavericks, who were without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Edey finished the game with four points, three rebounds and two blocks in 13:15 minutes. He shot 2-of-4 from the field, including 0-of-1 from beyond the arc, and ended with a plus/minus of -5.

In the second quarter, the Grizzlies rookie stepped up his involvement on both ends of the court. After a quiet first quarter with no shot attempts, the 7-foot-4 center became more active offensively, taking four shots in the period.
Zach Edey connected on 2-of-4 attempts from the field, including 0-of-1 from beyond the arc. Edey also made his presence felt on the glass, grabbing two offensive rebounds and recording one block. By halftime, the Grizzlies' center had accumulated four points, two rebounds and one block.
In a surprising move, Zach Edey did not start the third quarter, with Jay Huff taking his spot in the lineup. The rookie came off the bench in the second half but struggled to make an impact in the third quarter. Much like the opening period, Edey did not attempt a shot but contributed one rebound and one block to his stat line.
The Grizzlies young star didn't take any part in the fourth quarter as Taylor Jenkins' team registered yet another victory at home.
