Zach Edey and the Memphis Grizzlies took on the Houston Rockets on Monday night. In their previous win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last Saturday, the Grizzlies rookie nearly notched a double-double performance. Edey added eight points, nine rebounds and one block as he helped his team secure a nail-biting 127-125 win.
Against the Rockets, Edey played his role efficiently in the opening period as he secured three rebounds for the Grizzlies. He also played good defense and swatted one shot. Carrying Memphis in the first quarter was Ja Morant, who scored 10 points.
In the second quarter, Zach Edey only played a couple of extra minutes but wasn't able to provide much during that time. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant did most of the work for the Memphis Grizzlies as they secured a 60-57 first-half lead.
