Nickeil Alexander-Walker plays as a shooting guard/point guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. He was picked 17th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019 NBA draft and was soon traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Alexander-Walker played for the New Orleans Pelicans from 2019 - 2022. However, in February 2020, he was moved to the Erie Bay Hawks, an NBA G-League team. He was then traded to the Utah Jazz in 2022, where he played just one season. He is currently on a two-year $9 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Alexander-Walker played his collegiate basketball for Virginia Tech and averaged 13.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game over two seasons. He evolved into a leading scorer in his sophomore year. The Virginia Tech team returned to the 2019 Big Dance, and Alexander-Walker took his team to the second round of the tournament. As a result, he was named on the All-ACC third team.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a Canadian professional basketball player who was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was born to Nicolas Walker and Nicole Alexander on September 2, 1998, and is 25 years old. He stands at a towering height of 6’5” (1.96m). His cousin, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, also plays in the NBA for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Alexander-Walker was the leading scorer in the 2016 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship and helped his team secure a silver medal in the tournament. He had an impressive average of 17.4 points per game. He has also represented the Canadian senior national team in the 2021 Olympic Qualifiers.
