The OKC Thunder and Dallas Mavericks face off in Game 6 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs on Saturday night. The Mavericks lead 3-2 and could close the deal at home. However, despite their inexperience, the Thunder haven't been easy to beat.
They nearly completed another big comeback in Game 5, but the Mavericks showed more composure to take home a 104-92 win. Luka Doncic returned to form with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, shooting 54.5%, including 5-of-11 from 3. He also made a clutch block on Shai Gilegous-Alexander.
Derrick Jones Jr. played an excellent cameo with 19 points, while three others scored in double digits. The Thunder got similar stat lines from their rotation players, with Gilgeous-Alexander bagging 30 points and four others scoring in double digits.
The Thunder struggled with their 3-point shooting again after going 10-of-40 from deep. Meanwhile, the Mavs went 14 of 35 from 3. Dallas also won the rebounding battle 46-33, imposing their superior size against the smaller OKC team.
