#2 Nerlens Noel
![The Thunder will be keen to retain Noel, although he is likely to attract interest from rival teams](https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2019/04/93c06-15544759408111-800.jpg 1920w)
Nerlens Noel has acted as Steven Adams' backup this season, and despite playing less than 15 minutes per game, the former Mavericks man has made quite the impact. The 25-year-old is averaging 4.9 points and 4.3 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks, and his acquisition last summer has been widely acclaimed as one of the best signings of the season.

The center has a player-option to opt out of the remaining year of his deal, and Noel will likely be seeking a much larger salary than the minimum contract that he is currently signed to.

The Kentucky product has previously turned down a four-year, $70 million contract from the Mavericks due to his belief that he could earn more, and unfortunately for the Thunder, Noel is all but set to move on this summer.
