Mike Muscala reveals why he stuck with the team despite departures
Mike Muscala agreed to sign with the Thunder in the opening hours of free agency, but the veteran was given the chance to reconsider following the departures of George and Westbrook. However, Muscala opted to remain committed to Oklahoma City, and he revealed to Brett Dawson of The Athletic that he stayed due to the structure of the franchise:
I think because my feelings just were so good about the organization, it stuck with me. And I just felt that even despite the change in the roster, the personnel, that it would still be a good opportunity for me.

Muscala penned a 2 year, $4.3 million contract with the Thunder, and the 28-year-old will compete for minutes at power forward. Muscala could also offer cover at center if either Nerlens Noel or Steven Adams leave the franchise.
