The two sides were first reported to have reached an agreement on Sunday, although Noel soon backtracked and wanted more time to ensure he was making the best decision for himself. But, the former Philadelphia 76ers man has now decided that Oklahoma City is the best place to continue his career.
Noel joined the Thunder last summer and spent the season in a backup role to Steven Adams. Noel averaged 4.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 58.7 percent from the field. But the 25-year-old managed just 13.7 minutes per night and started just twice. With Adams' future in doubt, it's possible that Noel could emerge as the Thunder's starting center next season.
