Anthony Edwards became a first-time father when he welcomed his daughter with his girlfriend on March 1. The two-time NBA All-Star reportedly left an NBA game midway to witness the birth of his first child.

After logging in nearly 19 minutes in the first half, Edwards was ruled out for the remainder of the Timberwolves' matchup against the Sacramento Kings on March 1, citing personal reasons. The Timberwolves guard recorded 11 points, two rebounds and two assists before making a mid-game exit as the team lost 124-120.
