The Emirates NBA Cup knockout round begins on Tuesday with a matchup between the Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks. Orlando, which earned the Eastern Conference wildcard ticket, will hope to pull an upset on the road against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. The Magic head into the game without Paolo Banchero and the injured Franz Wagner.
While the Magic’s injury woes worsened, the Bucks saw the return of Khris Middleton from ankle surgeries in the offseason. Middleton and Antetokounmpo are probable but are expected to suit up. The hosts face the winner of the Atlanta Hawks versus New York Knicks tussle if they win.

Orlando Magic vs Milwaukee Bucks preview
The Orlando Magic, without Paolo Banchero for weeks, won't have Franz Wagner against the Bucks. Wagner suffered an oblique injury on Friday in the 102-94 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Without two of their best players, it remains to be seen who steps up in coach Jamahl Mosley’s roster.
The Magic beat the Phoenix Suns 115-110 on Sunday behind a balanced attack led by Jalen Suggs and Goga Bitadze. If Mosley can coax the same production in the NBA Cup versus Milwaukee, Orlando will have a chance to advance.
The Milwaukee Bucks, meanwhile, are easing Khris Middleton into the action since his return on Friday. With Middleton in the lineup, the Bucks offer a more dynamic and multi-pronged attack and will test Orlando’s defense.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard continue to be the team’s most impactful players. The "Greek Freak," who has been on a roll, will demand Orlando’s defense to step up. Milwaukee has an excellent chance of knocking out its opponent if it can execute well on both ends.

Goga Bitadze is averaging 12.0 points per game in December. In Orlando’s first game without Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, he had 21 points and 16 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns. Jamahl Mosley will continue to lean on him on offense, making it likely for the big man to top his 9.5 (O/U) points prop.
Jalen Suggs is another player who has been asked to be more aggressive on offense. The sweet-shooting guard is averaging 24.0 points in his last two games. He had 26 to lead the Magic against the Suns. Suggs is likely going over his 20.5 (O/U) points prop on Tuesday.
Orlando Magic vs Milwaukee Bucks prediction
The Orlando Magic is coming off a gritty win over the Phoenix Suns, who missed Kevin Durant.
Suggs and Co. face a healthier Milwaukee Bucks team that has been playing well. The Bucks likely defend their home court, beat the -7.5 spread and book a ticket to the semifinals of the NBA Cup.
