The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Orlando Magic at Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday evening in a battle between two of the Eastern Conference's most talented rosters.
After Tuesday's loss at Madison Square Garden against their conference rivals the New York Knicks, Orlando will be eager to bounce back. Philadelphia, a team that started the year as one of the favorites in the East, has managed just five wins from its first 19 games. The Magic have been one of the surprise stories of the season. They sit with a 15-8 record and a perfect 9-0 record at home.
It has been a disappointing start to the 2024-25 campaign for the 76ers. After some big moves during the offseason, most notably signing Paul George to a four-year, $212 million contract, Philadelphia has struggled. The 76ers (5-14) currently sit in 14th position out of 15 teams in the East.
There are some positives for the Sixers heading into Wednesday's game. The team is on a two-game winning streak after overcoming the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets in the last week.

Orlando Magic vs Philadelphia 76ers predicted starting lineups and depth chart
Orlando Magic coach Jamahl Mosley has been flexible with his starting lineup, with 10 different players receiving starts at some point in the season. A right torn oblique will see Paolo Banchero miss out on Wednesday's game and Goga Bitadze, Guy Harris and Trevelin Queen are all listed as game-time decisions.
Expect to see the Magic come out with a lineup that includes Jalen Suggs, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Franz Wagner, Tristan da Silva and Wendell Carter Jr.
Orland Magic depth chart:
The main question for the 76ers remains the status of former MVP Joel Embiid. On Tuesday, coach Nick Nurse said that he does not expect Embiid to play against the Magic. The dominant center has featured in just four games this season so far. The absence of center Andre Drummond with an ankle injury means Philadelphia could be going into the game without two of their most effective big men.
Nurse has also rotated his starting five with 11 different players this season. Expect to see Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., Paul George, Guerschon Yabusele and KJ Martin take the court on Wednesday.

Orlando Magic versus Philadelphia 76ers: Players to watch
Paolo Banchero's injury early in the campaign was a major blow for the lineup, but the 23-year-old Franz Wagner has stepped up in his teammate's absence. The German forward is averaging 23.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game.
Tyrese Maxey has been the standout player for the Philadelphia 76ers. The All-Star point guard is leading the roster in points (25.9), assists (4.5) and steals (2.0). Maxey's most memorable performance came against the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 27, when he finished with 45 points, four rebounds, four assists and a steal.
