Punjab Steelers dominated the first quarter which saw a few quick 3 pointers by the both teams. Sartaj (11) and Kuldeep Singh (3) of Punjab Steelers were unstoppable right from the start, with the Capitals being pretty fast in the offence department and in passing the ball to their mates. The quarter ended at 22-14 in favour of the dominating Steelers.

The trio of Bunty, Aaditya and Arshdeep were successful in their attempts in the second quarter and pushed their team forward in the score, making 22 points. But Punjab on their part maintained their tempo and gave the Capitals a sound fight. The first half was concluded at 39-36 in favour of Punjab Steelers.

The third quarter was quite a fight between both the teams as the Steelers made 25 points and the Capitals 20. Tita (3) became a 3 pointer specialist and made the scoreboard flash for his side. This quarter ended at 64-56, with the Steelers still ahead.

In the last quarter the Delhi Capitals fought with everything that they had, but failed in finishing through with the baskets. The quarter started with them dominating but Punjab showed who’s the boss and made it to the finish line.

Punjab is presently on top of the table with four wins out of the five games they have played and have already confirmed their place in the semifinals.

Final Scoreline: Punjab Steelers 78 (Kuldeep 28, Sartaj 19) beat Delhi Capitals 69 (Aaditya 19, Yudhvir 15).
