Pascal Siakam is a professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA. Standing at 6 feet 8 inches tall, he occupies the role of a Power Forward in the NBA. He attended God’s Academy in Lewisville, Texas to hone his playing skills and later chose New Mexico State University to pursue his college education. He started as a redshirt player in 2013 due to injury, but later worked his way up to get into the starting lineup, ultimately winning the WAC Freshman of the Year award in 2015. Following that season, he averaged 20.2 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game, playing 34 games. This feat saw him being named as the unanimous WAC Player of the Year honors.

Siakam declared for the 2016 NBA Draft, after 2 years at New Mexico State University and was picked with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft. Upon entering the league, he played the 35 games of the campaign before being injured. He was then alternately assigned to the Raptors’ affiliate team, the Raptors 905 in the G-League in order to develop him as a player. He performed very well for the Raptors 905 and helped them win a title and was also named as the G-League Finals MVP, with averages of 23 points and 9 rebounds per game.

He was later selected to attend the Basketball Without Borders camp, where he made an impression due to his athleticism and high energy. At the age of 18, he moved to the United States and attended God’s Academy in Lewisville, Texas.
