
Born on April 2, 1994, Pascal Siakam is a Cameroonian professional basketball player. Nicknamed "Spicy P", Siakam was born in Douala, Cameroon, to parents Tchamo and Victoire Siakam. After completing high school at God's Academy, Siakam committed to play college basketball for the New Mexico State Aggies in 2013. He worked his way up in their team, earning Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Freshman of the Year and the WAC Player of the Year award. After two seasons in college, Siakam declared for the NBA draft.
The Toronto Raptors picked Siakam with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft. In 2019, Siakam was an integral part of the Raptors team that won the 2019 NBA championship. He subsequently agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $136.9 million with them post the title run (via Spotrac).
