Paul Clifton Anthony George is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA as of October 2024. He was born on May 2, 1990, in Palmdale, California. George attended Knight High School in Palmdale. He helped Knight High School win the Golden League Championship and was named League's Most Valuable Player. He averaged 23.2 points and 11.2 rebounds during his senior year of high school.
George was drafted as the 10th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the 2010 NBA draft. He scored his career-high of 48 points against the Utah Jazz. George was named NBA Steals Leader and was named to the All-NBA First Team in 2019. As of October 27, 2024, he has played 867 games while starting in 819 games, scoring 18,032 points, 5,465 rebounds, and 3,191 assists.
