Anthony Leon "P. J." Tucker Jr. is an American professional basketball player who plays as a power forward for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA.

Born on May 5, 1985, Tucker was brought up in Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S., and attended William G. Enloe High School. He also spent a brief childhood period in Germany while his father served in the army. He would go on to enroll at the University of Texas at Austin, where he played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns.

The Toronto Raptors picked up Tucker in the 2006 NBA Draft with the 35th overall pick. After successfully plying his trade in countries like Israel and Germany, he returned to the NBA during the summer of 2012 with the Phoenix Suns. Tucker has since gone on to play for the Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and the Philadelphia 76ers.

His biggest coup in basketball was arguably winning the NBA championship with the Bucks in 2021. He's also won multiple championships overseas, including the Israeli Super League and the German League. He has also been voted the MVP of the Israeli Super League and the German League Finals.

Also fondly referred to as "Pop Junior," Tucker has been an integral part of every team he has represented. A high-impact player, Tucker's legacy has already been cemented in the basketball fraternity, and only time will tell how many more years he has left in the tank.

P.J. Tucker's trade to the Milwaukee Bucks in March 2021 was special for a number of reasons. He may have only put on the Bucks jersey 43 times, but Tucker was a fan-favorite in Milwaukee and was particularly adored for his hustle, grit, and leadership.

Tucker signed for them midway through the season in March 2021, and the rest is history. The tough-nosed defender was a vital cog in the team's road to the playoffs, holding the fort down in the backcourt. Tucker, however, switched gears come playoff time. He was key in their hard-fought conference semifinal victory against the Nets which went the distance. He successfully managed to slow Kevin Durant down in some crucial possessions.

In the Finals, Tucker played an important role against the Phoenix Suns, helping the Bucks win in six games. In 31.3 minutes per game, Tucker averaged 4.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.0 steals in the Finals.
