In effect, Qatar is a professional basketball team hired and paid handsomely to compete in International Competitions, such as FIBA Asia and Asian Games, despite the fact that there team is not made up of “Asians,” but “Africans,” who were naturalized as citizens, with no connection to the country, except to be national team players.
