An esteemed head coach, Snyder is known for his strategic prowess and leadership skills. He has always benefited from collective team productivity since Snyder’s coaching style primarily focuses on player development with team success.

While we all know him now as a veteran coach in the NBA, Snyder was a good player and contributor in high school and college. His excellence on the floor earned him multiple awards and recognition such as state basketball player of the year (x2), 1985 State Championship, and the aforementioned McDonald’s All-American selection (1985).

As an assistant coach, he won multiple championships, including the Russian League Championship, VTB United League Championship, and the ACC tournament championship. With a Wingspan measuring between 6 '5 and 6 '8, Snyder’s agility and reach made him a more than effective presence on the perimeter. Weighing around 200 lbs, Snyder was never a dull presence on the court. His defensive efforts, combined with his playing-making knowledge made him irreplaceable by Duke.

Quin Price Snyder is 56 years old. He was born on October 30, 1966. While pursuing his Juris Doctor Degree from Duke, he was brought in as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers in 1992.

In 1993, Snyder joined Duke and worked as an administrative assistant under Duke Head coach and all-time great Mike Krzyzewski, aka Coach K. After graduation, Snyder took the role of assistant coach and stayed with the institute till 1999.

As an assistant coach with Duke, the Duke Blue Devils became regular season champions four times (1994, 1997, 1998, 1999), Division/conference champions in 1999, and reached the NCAA finals twice (1994, 1999). Between 1999 - 2006, Snyder was the head coach for the University of Missouri, leading them to four consecutive NCAA appearances and finishing his tenure with a win/loss record of 126-91 in seven years.

Snyder then served as head coach of the Austin Toros in the NBA G League (then the D League). During his three-year run with the Toros, Snyder led the team to the league finals in 2007 and the semi-finals twice in 2009 and 2010. Snyder also won the Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year award in 2009, his first big achievement as head coach.

After being assistant coach of four NBA teams between 2010 and 2014, Snyder became the head coach of the Utah Jazz, where he served for eight years. In February 2023, the Atlanta Hawks announced that Snyder will be the team’s new head coach.
