Emerging as the obvious favorites against the Toronto Raptors, Stephen Curry and his dreams of a fourth ring were cut short, though. With a host of injuries to their key players, the Warriors fell to the Raptors.
Although Curry tried to carry the team, it was to no avail. The Toronto Raptors overcame the Golden State Warriors in six games, with Kawhi Leonard named the NBA Finals MVP.
Curry averaged 30.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and six assists per game during the series. He shot an uncharacteristic 34.3% from downtown. But his efforts to keep the Warriors' hopes of winning the title alive were extraordinary.
#2 2018 NBA Finals vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Having won the previous season, the Golden State Warriors entered the 2017-18 campaign hoping to repeat their postseason success. Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors, in the process, established themselves as the best team in the league that season.
The first two rounds of the playoffs would prove to be anything but a problem for the Warriors, as they were not taken beyond five games. The Houston Rockets, led by James Harden and Chris Paul, posed a genuine threat, though, in the Conference Finals. The series went to a seventh game, where a clutch performance by Kevin Durant took Golden State to the NBA Finals.

Although Kevin Durant won the Finals MVP honors for the second time, Stephen Curry had one of the best NBA Finals performances of his career in the series.

Although the addition of Durant presented a new challenge in the Warriors' system, the chemistry between him, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson made the trio a nightmare for opponents.
The 2017 Golden State Warriors had one of the best playoff runs of all time. With a 16-1 record, the Warriors dropped the only game in the postseason in the NBA Finals to cap off a memorable season.
