This would eventually be the last year that LeBron James wore a Miami Heat uniform. But for the entire basketball world, it was a special one. The Heat would go on to finish the year with a 54-28 record, and looked determined to defend their championship title from the previous season. LeBron did his part as well, finishing the season with 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. The Heat would go on to face the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of the previous year, but this time the Spurs would get the last laugh as they won the series 4-1.

After one of the biggest offseason stories in NBA history, LeBron James announced he would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and sign with the Miami Heat, joining forces with star teammates Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. It was another year of impressive production for LeBron, as he went on to average 26.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. LeBron would lead the Heat to the NBA Finals before eventually losing to the Dallas Mavericks 4-2. It became obvious that the Heat were going to be a serious force in the Eastern Conference. James would also go on to lead the NBA in terms of efficiency, after finishing with a PER of 27.34 and shooting 51.0% from the field.

It was an impressive 2007-08 campaign for LeBron as he went on to lead the league in scoring for the first and only time in his career. LeBron went on to finish the year averaging 30.0 points per game while also leading the league with a PER of 29.15. During this season, James would pass Brad Daugherty as the all-time leading scorer in Cleveland Cavaliers franchise history. He would go on to lose in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in seven games to the eventual NBA Champion Boston Celtics.

This will go down in history as the year in which LeBron James won his first ever MVP award. It was an impressive season, and one that shockingly didn't see LeBron make it to the NBA Finals. For the season, LeBron went on to finish the year with an average of 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game while shooting 48.9% from the field. He would go on to lead the league in PER again for the second straight year. His Cavaliers would lose in the conference finals against the Orlando Magic, but LeBron made his presence known to the world with his performance. He finished that series posting an average of 38.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game.
