Ronald Harper Jr. is an American small forward for the Boston Celtics as of March 2025. Harper Jr. was born on April 12, 2000, in a basketball-oriented family with his father being a former NBA player, Ron Harper. He played high school basketball at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey, before making a name for himself at Rutgers University. In his senior season at Rutgers, Harper Jr. achieved Honorable Mention All-American honors from the Associated Press, making him the first Rutgers player to receive All-American recognition since Quincy Douby in 2005-06. Harper Jr. earned First Team All-ECAC and NABC Second Team All-District honors as well.

During Harper Jr.’s two seasons with the Raptors' G League team, the Raptors 905, he averaged 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game over 20 games. In the offseason of 2024, the Boston Celtics signed him to their roster. During the 2024 NBA Summer League, Harper Jr. played in four games and averaged 6.7 points and 1 rebound in about 15.8 minutes per game. He shot 40.0% from the field and 30.8% from three-point range. With the reigning champions, Harper Jr. gets another opportunity to prove himself in the NBA.
