The Brooklyn Nets were looking like a team that was finally starting to cement themselves as contenders in the Eastern Conference. That was until their star point guard requested a trade after a reported disagreement on a potential contract extension.

With Irving heading to the Dallas Mavericks, teams around the NBA are scrambling to inquire about Kevin Durant's future with the Nets. Just this last summer, Durant had also requested a trade from the organization. Durant rescinded the trade request after a lack of progression on a potential deal.

Boston has been one of the most impressive teams in the NBA throughout the first half of the 2022-23 season. A year after coming up short in the NBA Finals, Boston has looked to be out for revenge this season. The young duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown has become a dangerous asset for the Celtics.

With both players still just reaching their prime years, it seems like a bit of a "gamble" for the Celtics to look to part with Brown for an aging Durant.

Durant has shown that when healthy, he can still be one of the most dangerous players in the world. Time will tell if Durant will be on the move as well, but there's going to be plenty of teams that are picking up the phone.
