According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Lakers have no plans to trade Davis this season. Several experts, as well as fans, are urging the Lakers to find the eight-time All-Star a new home. He's playing well to start the season and has only missed one game, but he's dealing with a back injury.

Haynes also cited sources saying that if any team is interested in Davis, they will have to contact Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul. Davis has a contract until next season, with a player option for the 2024-25 season. Any interested team needs to find out if Davis is willing to sign an extension.

The LA Lakers gave up Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round draft picks to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans in 2019. If the Lakers decide to make Davis available, they should not expect to receive the same haul.

Davis might be one of the most talented players in the NBA, but he's also injury prone. He missed 36 games in 2021 and 42 games last season due to various injuries. The Lakers are only 11 games into the season, but Davis is already nursing a back injury.

The Lakers also don't have the incentive to trade Davis for young players and assets, which might not help them win more games. The team do not own their first-round pick next year due to the Pelicans' pick swap from the Davis trade. The 2023 draft will be headlined by alien prospect Victor Wembanyama.

Anthony Davis might not be available for a trade, but he's rumored to be open to playing for the Chicago Bulls. Davis was born and raised in Chicago, and it's not surprising if he wants to play for his hometown team during his career.

In an interview with Sean Deveney of Heavy.com, a Western Conference general manager said that Davis wants to play in Chicago. The GM also thinks that if the LA Lakers and Bulls make a deal, it would be for Zach LaVine, who is a Klutch Sports client.

"But the one thing I've said, if they were to make a deal, would be to send him back to Chicago for another Klutch guy, Zach LaVine," the West GM said. "Davis is from Chicago, he would like to play there. LaVine played at UCLA and has said he wants to play in L.A. I think that is the only deal that would sort of satisfy all parties."
