The Phoenix Suns have permitted discarded forward Jae Crowder to talk to the Milwaukee Bucks. The two-time NBA finalist has been on the market since the 2022 offseason. Crowder hasn't played for the Suns since the two parties mutually agreed to his inactivity as they find a new home for him.

The Bucks have emerged as one of the most prominent suitors for Crowder. Here's what The Athletic's Shams Charania reported about these NBA rumors:

"In a new development, the Suns have given permission to the Bucks to meet with Crowder, league sources tell The Athletic. The Bucks are believed to be the only team that has received permission to visit one-on-one with Crowder, those sources have also indicated.
"Multiple teams, including the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks, remain interested in Crowder, who is seen by championship-contending teams as a fortifying acquisition at the deadline."

The Milwaukee Bucks are thin in their frontcourt depth. Outside of starters Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton and Sixth Man of the Year candidate Bobby Portis, the Bucks don't have an experienced yet reliable presence on the bench.

Middleton has struggled with injuries all season long, while Portis is out for at least two weeks with an MCL sprain. Jae Crowder would instantly boost their depth. His playoff experience will also come in handy for the Bucks.

What package can Milwaukee Bucks offer Phoenix Suns for Jae Crowder?

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns have engaged in discussions over Jae Crowder for months. Charania added that the Bucks have proposals ready surrounding some of their reserve players and second-round draft picks.

"Both the Suns and Bucks have engaged in serious trade talks for months, with current proposals surrounding Jordan Nwora, George Hill, Serge Ibaka and second-round draft compensation to Phoenix for Crowder, according to sources," wrote Charania.

Jordan Nwora's role has been reduced following the returns of Khris Middleton and Joe Ingles. Meanwhile, George Hill is also down the pecking order in the Bucks' depth chart. Serge Ibaka recently mutually agreed to stay inactive until the Bucks find a new home for him.

This package is ideal for the Bucks as it will open up a few more roster spots ahead of the trade deadline. They can look to move smaller pieces and add players who could be relied upon to contribute.
