The Jimmy Butler saga is still a hot topic around the NBA world and at this moment, it's unclear when it will end. The veteran swingman was suspended for seven games after a couple of games after a couple of controversial performances that didn't sit well with the front office.

As everybody tries to see what's next for Butler, ESPN insider Kevin Pelton proposed a trade that would send Butler to a Western Conference squad getting things back on track in recent weeks. Pelton says Butler's performances in the postseason could benefit the Sacramento Kings while the Miami Heat could land DeMar DeRozan.

"From Miami's perspective, DeRozan would be an ideal Butler replacement because of his combination of production and contract. At $23.4 million this season, DeRozan is making nearly $30 million less than Butler.
"The Heat could get within striking distance of avoiding the luxury tax by making this trade and still have the ability to use their exceptions this summer when Hardaway's contract comes off the books."

The Detroit Pistons would get involved in this exchange to make things easier for the Kings and Heat. In total, the Kings would get Butler and Alec Burks; Miami would receive DeRozan, Tim Hardaway Jr. and a 2028 first-round pick (top-four protected, via Sacramento). The Pistons would receive Kevin Huerter, Trey Lyles and a 2029 first-round pick swap option from the Kings.

Jimmy Butler is set to return to the court on Thursday and plenty of fans are waiting to see what version of Jimmy the Heat would get.

Jimmy Butler has reportedly made up his mind about returning to the court

Once his suspension is lifted, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Jimmy Butler is ready to suit up for Miami again.

“I'm told (Jimmy Butler) is fully prepared to return to play for the Miami Heat if he is not moved by the time his suspension is lifted,” Haynes said on Tuesday's "Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz."

After considering the Heat failed to surround him with the right supporting cast, Butler has made it clear he wants to leave South Beach. The standoff with Pat Riley has been one of the hottest topics in the league for several weeks now, but it seems like we'll have to wait more time to see the resolution.

With two trips to the NBA Finals under his belt, Butler wants to play with better players on a different squad.
