The Miami Heat are looking to upgrade their roster ahead of the NBA's trade deadline on Thursday. According to sources around the league, it looks as if the Heat are checking in on some of the bigger names on the market.
Miami (29-24) was a team that many expected to make some noise during the 2022-23 season. It was just last season in which the Heat were one of the most impressive teams in the entire league, finishing with the best record in the Eastern Conference. That same Heat team was also just one win away from a spot in the NBA Finals.
This year has been a bit of a struggle for the Miami roster. Heading into Friday night's games, Miami, which has won eight of its last 12 games, finds itself in sixth place in the East.
The Heat have always had an aggressive front office that isn't afraid to shake things up. The right move for Miami could help them make a push before the NBA playoffs. According to insider Greg Sylvander, the Heat have checked in on players such as John Collins, OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam and Jae Crowder as trade targets.

“I can confirm that the Heat have checked in on three of the four guys that they named,” insider Greg Sylvander said of a recent report from Shams Charania. “I can’t verify anything else other than that per the source that I have.”
Miami Heat looking to make moves ahead of NBA Ttrade deadline
The Miami Heat are looking to make some moves ahead of the deadline. With a trade market that seems to be active in buyers, the Heat will need to be aggressive when it comes to the competition.
Players like John Collins, OG Anunoby, Pascal Siakam and Jae Crowder are expected to be attractive targets for organizations around the league. This year's deadline is shaping up to have more buyers than sellers. That could mean that there will be a bit of a bidding war for teams looking to upgrade their rosters.
The Toronto Raptors are viewed as a team that could become one of the top sellers. That could be intriguing news for an organization like the Miami Heat. Toronto has a roster that features a plethora of intriguing talent. If the Heat can somehow pry away either Siakam or Anunoby, it would be a huge addition.
