South Asian powerhouse India had an easy outing on the day 2 of the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Basketball Championship for men at Kathmandu, Nepal, as it opened it’s campaign with a 93 – 39 thrashing of neighbors Bangladesh.
Scott Flemming’s side had no problems with defending champions Bangladesh as they dominated the entire match. India took the first quarter 19 – 8 and also took the second quarter 32 – 13 to go to the halftime break with a 51 – 21 lead. After the break, it was India all over, as they took the third quarter 27 – 7 and took the last quarter 15 – 11 to win the match by a huge 54 points.
In the other match of the day 2, Srilanka defeated hosts Nepal 80 – 66.
India will face Sri Lanka and Maldives will play Bangladesh on day 3 of the championship.
