The Sacramento Kings get another shot at the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. Sacramento lost 108-103 in the first meeting in California and will hope to get revenge in the rematch on the road. The Kings are heavy favorites to bounce back with a win against their injury-plagued opponents.

Meanwhile, the reeling Nets will host the Kings without several key players. Cameron Johnson, Cam Thomas, De’Anthony Melton and Trendon Watford are all out. Ben Simmons, dealing with back soreness, is also questionable. Nets coach Jordi Fernandez hopes the healthy players on his roster can carry the team to an upset win.

Sacramento Kings vs Brooklyn Nets preview

After starting January with a 9-1 record, the Sacramento Kings dropped their last two games. They lost 132-123 to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday before the New York Knicks defeated them 143-120. In both games, Sacramento’s defensive execution and energy went on vacation.

Although the Nets are riddled with injuries, the Kings must improve their play on defense. De’Aaron Fox and Co. can’t allow turnovers to give their hosts a chance to pull off an upset.

Where the Brooklyn Nets can consistently get points is anybody’s guess. Without Cam Thomas and Cameron Johnson, opponents are collapsing on D’Angelo Russell, who has been forced to carry the offense.

Jalen Wilson, Nic Claxton and every healthy player on the Nets roster have to start punching their weight for the team to compete.

Sacramento Kings vs Brooklyn Nets betting tips

DeMar DeRozan increased his 18.4 points per game in December to 24.4 PPG in January. Against the Nets’ injury-hampered lineup and porous defense, Deebo could easily top his 20.5 (O/U) points prop.

Domantas Sabonis is another who will likely take advantage of the Nets’ health issues and defensive shortcomings. Domas, averaging 24.6 PPG in his last five games, will likely hit the over in his 19.5 (O/U) points prop.

Sacramento Kings vs Brooklyn Nets prediction

The Kings are healthy and playing much better than the Nets on both ends of the floor. Brooklyn can cover the +10.5 spread if Sacramento takes its foot off the gas late in the game.
