The Sacramento Kings continue their three-game road trip with the second stop at the United Center. They take on the hot and cold Chicago Bulls for the first time this season on Sunday. The Kings have been in impressive form and have risen from adversity after HC Mike Brown's firing and rumors of a De'Aaron Fox trade that did the rounds.
The Kings began December as a team that was well outside of playoff seeding, but their last six games that saw them go 6-0 put them back in contention with ninth place in the West and a 19-19 record. While it's not to say that they are out of the woods, the remarkable comeback sees them look like the Kings from the 2022-23 season.
The Bulls on the other hand have been one step forward, but have been pegged two steps back. Much of their success depends on how their seasoned stars in Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic fare. They are 3-2 in their last five games and come off a 138-105 win over the hapless Washington Wizards. A win sees them inch closer to the .500 record and climb their way up the Eastern Conference ladder.
Both teams meet again in March. Can the Bulls snap the Kings' winning streak? Or will it be a 7-0 run for Sacramento in their Sunday showdown?

Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Preview
The Sacramento Kings have regrouped and how. Their last loss was on Dec. 28 to the LA Lakers in the wake of HC Mike Brown's firing, but they have bounced back in admirable fashion with wins against some of the best teams in the league. Their defense came to the fore when they trounced defending champions the Boston Celtics and kept them under 100 points.
De’Aaron Fox, who averages 26.7 points per game, is questionable, but Sacramento will be happy to DeMar DeRozan hit a purple patch after a slow slump. He is the second-leading scorer for the side with 20.9 points per game and Domantas Sabonis is inches close at 20.7 points per game.
The Kings are ninth in scoring defense averaging 115.9 points per game and 112.7 points per 100 possessions. They are eighth in FG% (47.4) and 21st in 3-point offense (34.7). They are 17th in scoring defense with 113.3 PPG and allowing their opponents 110.2 points per 100 possessions.
The Bulls have played competitive basketball — but need to be better if they intend to make the playoffs. They are still a middling team with an 18-20 record despite impressive performances but need to be able to stay consistent at rattling off wins.
The Bulls are torrid defensively placed 29th on scoring defense and allow their opponents 112.9 points per 100 possessions. On offense, they are fourth in the league averaging 114.2 points per contest and propping 111.2 points per every 100 possessions.
Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Predicted Starting Lineups
The Kings have listed De'Aaron Fox as questionable (right glute contusion). Should the Kings sit him out for another game, they will most likely field the same lineup that played the last game.
The Bulls will be without Torrey Craig (right lower leg contusion), while Ayo Dosunmu (calf strain) is doubtful. Coby White (cervical strain) is questionable. Chicago is unlikely to make tweaks to their roster.
Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Betting Tips
Zach LaVine is -120/+100 o/u on points. Nikola Vucevic is -106/-110 on points and rebounds, and Coby White is -120/-106 on points and assists. For the Kings, keep an eye out for DeMar DeRozan (-102/-120) on points, and Domantas Sabonis with -106/-109 on points and rebounds.
Sacramento Kings vs Chicago Bulls Prediction
The Sacramento Kings have enough firepower to get past the Chicago Bulls even without De'Aaron Fox. The Windy City unit has struggled on defense and that will be the area the Kings will look to capitalize on. DeRozan and Sabonis are certified buckets and will keep the offense churning. Take Sacramento to notch up their seventh straight win on Sunday.
