The Spurs have the resources to complete a trade for Andre Iguodala

The Spurs almost signed Andre Iguodala back in 2017, and the organizations renewed interest in the veteran star was quickly reported following his surprise trade to the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this summer.

With his career nearing the end, Iguodala appears unlikely to stick around on a rebuilding Memphis roster this season, and Preston Ellis of Bleacher Report believes the Spurs have the pieces to complete a trade.

(Trey) Lyles and (DeMarre) Carroll cannot be moved in this transaction until Dec. 15, but Iguodala likely isn't in a rush to suit up for the first few weeks of the 2019-20 season. Iguodala could help the Spurs get to the playoffs again before head coach Gregg Popovich's inevitable retirement.
Losing Lyles and Carroll wouldn't be too much of a loss for the Spurs, while the addition of Iguodala would be a significant boost. Following an injury-hit regular season, Iguodala excelled during the playoffs, averaging 9.8 points, 4.0 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game.
