The San Antonio Spurs compete in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference in the NBA. Gregg Popovich is the head coach of the team and they play their home games at the Frost Bank Center.

In the 2022/23 season, the San Antonio Spurs (22-60) had the worst record in the league. As a result, they won the draft lottery and picked French sensation Victor Wembanyama with the first overall pick.

At 7 feet 4 inches, Wemby is regarded by many as the best prospect since LeBron James in 2003. For his size, he handles the ball really well and can also shoot the long ball. Before the NBA, he played for the Metropolitans 92 in the Pro A League in France, where he led the league in points, rebounds and blocks.
