Monday's preseason schedule is packed with seven games, including a matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat at Kaseya Center. The Spurs are looking to win their third preseason game after dropping their opening contest against the OKC Thunder. The Heat, on the other hand, will only be playing their third preseason game.

San Antonio's biggest acquisition this offseason was Chris Paul, who looked good playing with Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs will also cope with Devin Vassell's absence due to injury. Look for coach Gregg Popovich to insert players such as Julian Champaignie and Stephon Castle to step up.

Miami was not active in free agency and even lost a rotational player, Caleb Martin, to the Philadelphia 76ers. Nevertheless, the Heat still have a competitive roster headed by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Butler was linked to trade rumors this summer but seemed focused when he entered camp earlier this month.

San Antonio Spurs vs Miami Heat injury reports

San Antonio has five players listed on its injury report for Tuesday's game – Malaki Branham, David Duke Jr., Charles Bassey, Victor Wembanyama and Devin Vassell. The first four players are tagged day-to-day, while Vassell has been ruled out until Nov. 1.

Branham and Duke have an undisclosed injury, with Bassey still recovering from a knee injury. Wembanyama was given a rest against the Utah Jazz and Vassell continues to recover from offseason foot surgery.

On the other hand, Miami only has two players on its injury report – Alec Burks and Josh Richardson. Both players are listed as day-to-day, with Burks likely playing tonight since he was only rested in their previous game.

Richardson has not played in the preseason due to a shoulder injury. He underwent surgery on his shoulder in the offseason and is still recovering from it heading into training camp.
