The San Antonio Spurs and OKC Thunder highlight Wednesday's national TV slate in the Western Conference. Led by two of the league's best young centers, Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren, this contest promises to be highly enticing to look forward to.

The Spurs have lost two of their opening three games. They dropped their last game 106-101 against the Houston Rockets. Wembanyama and Co. trailed by 14 early but tried to make it a close game with a valiant comeback attempt.

Wembanyama had a monster defensive game, tallying 14 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks. Chris Paul finished with 16 points and three assists. However, it was a steep mountain to climb, and the Spurs fell short in the clutch.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have gone 3-0 behind impressive wins against the Denver Nuggets, Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks. They beat the Hawks 128-104 in their previous outing. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had his first 30-point game of the year. He tallied 35 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists, leading the team in all categories.
