Born in Las Palmas, Spain, Santi Aldama Toledo didn’t have to wait long to get his first exposure to the game of Basketball. Being born to a former national team player Santiago Aldama meant that picking up basketball was inevitable and an opportunity that could earn him greatness in the Sport.

Santi enrolled in the Canterbury Basketball Academy to polish his skills then a few years later relocated to the U.S. to play College Basketball at Loyola University Maryland over offers from mainstream Liga ACB teams like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Santi was an established Spanish youth player whose recent achievements included winning the 2019 FIBA U18 EuroBasket championship and earning the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award (MVP).

With an average of 19 points, 9.2 rebounds, one steal, and 1.7 rejections per contest, Santi impressed many with his quick pace, Basketball IQ, and overall skills that he brought to the table. Eventually, his years of hard work and career gamble paid off when he got drafted 30th overall in the NBA Draft.

Santiago Aldama Height

Santi Aldama is 6 feet 11 inches tall. Santi is a young big man who is an all-around player; he can shoot accurately from a long distance, has perfect fitness and agility, is a developing post-up player, and has some of the best handles in the league. Although incredibly talented, many experts underestimated his potential by not including him in their mock draft list.

Aldama’s height and size have undoubtedly been crucial aspects of his draft success, his other physical attributes have been equally effective in enhancing his existing potential.

Santi Aldama Weight

Aldama’s weight measures 225 lbs (102 kg). In the two seasons that he has played for the Memphis Grizzlies (including his 18-game stint in the G League during the 2021-22 season), his approach to the game has steadily improved and athleticism has led this change.

Aldama has one of the fastest feet for 6 '10 plus Centers in the NBA. His three-point fake and rundown finish from the baseline is a perfect example of his peak athleticism and being a skilled, young ball handler only adds to his potential.

Santi Aldama Wingspan

With a wingspan measuring over 7 feet 2 inches in length, Aldama has near-impeccable mid-range/perimeter defense, an even tougher rim defense, assists efficiency, and one of the best true shooting percentages for a Center in the Western Conference at 56.4. Those hook-like arms also make him a dominant rebounder and true finisher at the rim.

What Size Shoe Does Santi Aldama Wear?

Santi’s shoe size ranges between size (U.S) 15 and 18. Santi Aldama’s shoe of preference is the Nike Kyrie Low 5. Introduced on February 1, 2023, the shoe fits in like a comfortable glove once the laces are tightened.

The Low 5s include multiple features like The full-length Cushlon midsole and the Zoom air unit. These features enhance the sense of comfort for those wearing this amazing pair.
